Family HistoriesThe Society has many records of families living in the Village in years gone by and may be able to offer Family Trees in some cases.
Experience of the type of request and the effort involved to find satisfactory answers has made it necessary make a charge for this work. When an enquiry is received we will, as nearly as possible, estimate what the likely cost will be and ask for payment before proceeding. If this estimate is likely to be exceeded then we will give an explanation and seek agreement to go ahead. Charts for many families are held in computerised form (Family Tree Maker .FTW files) and others are held in manuscript. Are you looking for a particular family name? If you are looking for a family associated with Langton Matravers, take a look at these lists of names of people buried in the two old churchyards and download them if you wish.
